This wheelchair cycling route through northern and central Breda takes you from the Achter-Emer area through Wisselaar, Hoge Vucht and Teteringen before returning towards Breda city centre. The route combines dedicated cycling infrastructure, quieter residential streets and several viaduct crossings, offering a varied urban ride with relatively limited interaction with heavy traffic. A difficult element in the route can be the 4 viaducts, but they do offer a fun challenge.

Suitable for: Wheelchair users

Accessibility: Step-free route with mostly smooth cycling infrastructure, although the viaduct crossings and several road intersections may require some attention.

Surface: Mostly red asphalt cycling paths and wide concrete bike lanes. Some shorter sections use paving stones, brick surfaces or regular paved roads, particularly around residential areas, crossings and viaducts.

Distance: 13.9 km

The route through northern Breda has a moderate level of interaction with traffic. Most of the route follows dedicated cycling infrastructure and quieter residential roads, but there are more intersections and crossings than other routes in Breda on our website, particularly around Hoge Vucht, Teteringen and the approach to the city centre. The four viaduct crossings add some variation to the route, while dedicated cycle paths help keep interaction with busy car traffic relatively limited.
